  • What types of lessons do you offer?

We offer private instruction in Piano, Voice, Guitar, and Ukulele.

  • Will we need to purchase instruments immediately after starting lessons?

We do recommend that you purchase the instrument you or your child is learning. This does not mean you have to buy the most expensive instrument. We would recommend you start with a cheaper beginner instrument, until you know the commitment of your child.

  • Is there an age requirement for beginning lessons?

We begin teaching voice at age 7. Our piano lessons start at age 4. We begin teaching guitar at age 8, and our ukulele lessons start at age 6.

  • Do you offer anything for children younger than your starting age for lessons?

Enrollment is open for our Coastie Classes for ages 8 weeks-7 years old in. It’s a perfect way to find out what your child likes best! Click here for more information.

  • What if I want to learn a particular style of music?

We will match you with a teacher that can help you reach your goals. A solid foundation will be built and you will be able to add in the styles of music you interested in and work at your own pace.

  • When are lessons held?

You will have a lesson each week with a consistent day and time.

  • Are lessons canceled during holidays?

We are closed for the following Holidays:

  • Martin Luther King

  • Mardi Gras (Monday-Wednesday)

  • Spring Break

  • Memorial Day Week

  • July 4th

  • Labor Day

  • Fall Break Week

  • Thanksgiving Week

  • Two weeks Christmas Break

  • How much do lessons cost?

Our private 30-minute lesson cost is $30 per lesson. Our private 60-minute lesson cost is $55 per lesson.

  • Are there any additional fees on top of the lessons cost?

Yes. A Book & Materials fee (price will vary based on the cost of the books/sheet music) is due when your student receives their first set of books and when your student advances to the next set of books. This covers all method books, sheet music, and studio-licensed materials provided by the instructor, and a Recital Fee $15 per student ($8 per sibling). This fee secures our performance venue and covers the cost of printed programs.

  • Do you offer any discounts?

There is a 15% discount for additional classes or additional family members taking lessons.

  • Do you offer incentives for referring friends and family?

For every referral made you will receive a $20 credit to your account, which will be reflected on the next invoice you receive.

  • How are payments made?

Payments for sessions can be made in-person (cash, check, or card) or online through a link included on your monthly invoice. Card payments will be charged a 2.99% processing fee.

  • What happens if I miss a lesson?

We understand that things come up and sickness happens.  Please let us know as soon as possible if you will be out.  Makeup lessons are one Saturday a month, unless otherwise agreed upon by the student and teacher. You can call the studio to register for the next makeup session.

  • What if my teacher has to miss the lesson?

In the event your teacher is ill or needs to miss your lesson,  we will call you to reschedule at a later time when your teacher is available or have one of our other teachers step in as a substitute.

  • Can I take off the summer months?

We teach lessons year-round and our teachers are employed all year.  You can take off for the summer, but we cannot guarantee that your day and time or your teacher will be available when you are ready to return.  It is a better choice to pay ($60 a month) to hold you spot throughout the summer.

  • What if I need to discontinue lessons?

There is no long-term contract for sessions at our studio.  If you need to discontinue lessons, we do require a month's notice, as we do not reimburse lesson fees if you make the decision to withdrawal from lesson in the middle of the month.

  • I'm ready to enroll. What is the next step?
